I just received my new 6mm from MGM. I can,t wait to mount the new Monarch on it and break it in! I'm sure it will be great like all their barrels. ;D

catkiller,

Do you have many of their barrels?

Been looking at their site thinking about ordering one of their barrels but didn't know much about their reputation. I know bullbery has a reputation for being hard to deal with, at least thats what I've read on the forum here.

I did have a SSK barrel once, bought it used, but it was great. I've talked to JD a couple of times and he always was very helpful.

Never dealt with MGM. How are they to deal with? Thanks, Byron

I'd be surprised if you don't love this barrel.  6MM is a fine caliber and MGM makes great barrels.  I have friends that have them on Encores and love them.  I only have one of their barrels that I bought a little over a year ago...a 14" SS bull barrel in .17HMR on an Encore pistol frame.  The accuracy is outstanding.  I couldn't be happier with it.

Catkiller, what was turnaround time on that barrel?  I think you picked a very nice cartridge to go along with that barrel.

i have been dealing with these guys since they were at virgin valley custom guns. The Strattons are good people and will bend over backwards to help you.I have a few of their barrels and they are all stupendous!Turn around time was 3 days! I bought one that was already in stock and it arrived here 3 days later. They have quite a few barrels in stock right now. They have a list of them on their website.

I have had a new Pro hunter frame with realtree stock and forarm in the box untouched under my couch now since the pro hunters first came out.I haven't had time to mess with it till now.i am a taxidermist and stay pretty busy but this year I started cutting down on business.I'm fixing to turn 50 this year and have been working since the day after I graduated high school, mostly in the oilfield and it's time to slow down and start enjoying my guns and hunting again like I did when I was younger, plus I have a little grand daughter now and have decided to start enjoying life again before I get too old.

catkiller, you never get to old to enjoy life, it just hurts more to do it. ;D My mother passed last year at 95. When she was about 85 she told me one day that this "getting old wasn't as much fun as she thought it would be"

I'm 63 now and starting to agree with her. But when I begin to feel sory for myself because of all my aches and pains I just consider the alterninative.

Nice mounts.
