Just a word of warning Gents, It's Valentine Day. She may say it doesn't matter but it you don't remember you will regret it. Mine said earlier this week...Nothing for Valentines! Very emphatic. This was one of the times when the message was the message. So to honor he wishes so for this morning I have sent her 5 or 6 of those corny "Roses are Red, violets are blue...." email. All day long, everytime I go by the computer I will send another. I also in my Microsoft Publisher I found templates for Valentine's cards and greeting's. I can fill them and send them via our wireless printer which sit's next to her computer. I will do this all day long also. She will act annoyed, but she won't be.
Just one of the little things that I have used to survived 42 years of marriage.
One thing I wanted to point out and forget in yesterdays conversation shooting at long range...When you sight in for the longer ranges you you will have a very small foot print for you point blank range. For example my primary hunting rifle for a couple of years has been my 338/308 AI. Probably should call it a 338 Federal AI. Anyway velocity of the 200 grain Nosler I use is 2600 fps. I want point blank range for 5 inches +/-. This means my bullet theoretically will hit within 5 inches high to 5 inches low to my point of aim, all the way out to just under 300 yards.
If I Zero this gun for 400 yards I will have a 5 inch +/- point blank range only from about 365 yards where I will be 5 inches high until about 415 yards where I will be about 5 inches low. A very narrow 50 yards.
But before the bullet gets to the point blank range of 365 yard, it is 9.3 inche shigh at 100 yards, 14 inches high at 200 yards, 13.7 inches high at 250 yards and 11.4 high at 300.
