Remington Titanium or Mr. Titanium??
« on: August 29, 2003, 02:08:35 PM »
I saw a "Mr Titanium" in a local bass pro shop list price was almost $2000. Is this the same gun listed on the web page as the Remington Titanium.

I'm interested in the accurracy of this gun in the 260 rem using handloads.  Anyone have any feedback?

thanks

I've never heard of a "Mr. Titanium" brand of rifle, but there is a top o' the line riflescope by Burris that's called the Mr. T Titanium.  The $2000 price tag seems a bit high, but who knows.

If it was a rifle, I doubt very seriously if it is the Rem Titanium.  The price on those don't get anywhere close to $2000.  Keep me posted, I'm interested to know what you find out.

longshot is correct - Burris has a Titanium scope that has an MSRP of close to $2,000.  However, street value is close to about half of that - so consider about $1,000 or so.

The Remington Titanium has a street price of around $1,000.

Maybe Bass Pro has a combo and calls it Mr. Titanium? I don't know.

We have a Bass Pro Outdoor world in Ft. Lauderdale.  I may go there sometime this week and check it out. :?

Update,

I went back to the Bass Pro shop and the gun is indeed called a Mr Titanium NO package deal with a Burris scope.

The gun is chambered in Rem 300 short Ultra mag. with a serial number of TT006271 and the retail price is $1999.

This gun is not listed on the Remington web site---anyone have an idea why this gun is retailing $1000+ dollars over the standard Titanium rifle?
