Obama was here yesterday
« on: February 14, 2009, 04:02:49 AM »
He flew into the Capitol airport in Springfield IL. A six or seven mile stretch of Veterans highway was closed off for his motorcade. Many people were trapped at their work place for at least 40min as traffic was ground to a halt. He proceeded to the Crown Plaza Hotel on Dirkson and gave a quick speech honoring Lincolns birthday and then he was gone.

It is reported that he then flew to Chicago for a few days of R&R & shopping for the Missus & the daughter....
This is where he is most comfortable, back amidst the company of his cohorts ranging from Rod Blago, Daley, Emil Jones, and the like.(read corrupt machine)

Do you suppose that Obama & Daley can run the country from Chicago?...I think that they would like that. I don't think that Obama would be with us today if they would have busted Rod Blago back in Oct when they knew about his misdeed's...I dont know who was powerful enough to delay Blago's federal arrest but it did happen.

My condolences. I was trapped in a parking garage for 50 minutes waiting for Al Gore to clear out once. I never liked him before that, and liked him even less during and after.

doesn't matter who it is... the USSS and the local police are going to block roads and traffic for the motorcade.  They do it all whether republican or demoncrap.  That's just the process....

I kinda like it when the Royals visit Canada. Whatever road they need to travel will be freshly fixed and made look bristol fashion.

I hope you let your car idle the whole time.

Because of his heart condition Cheney's motrcade includes an ambulance. I was able to fall in behind them and it threw me off when they got off the highway at the hospital exit and then drove away from the hospital. Took me a week to find out it was Cheney.

i was trapped on a jobsite once for both Regan and the Queen of England when they met in Williamsburg Va.  We were approached the day before and told what to expect . the day it happened we had a SS guy come to the site and stand at the gate . he told us we could not leave and watched until it was over . Very professional . several other times working there similar things occured . And every time they loaded nukes we saw air cover . I would expect no less .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
