February 16, 2008, Good Morning Montana.
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:23:23 AM »
Good morning every one,  Foggy this morning, 15 degrees here in Cut Bank.  Looks like we we got just a skiff of snow over night.

Headed to Kalispell in the morning for a check-up, then over to Lowes for a couple of  3/4 inch 45 degree elbows for copper pipe and a 2 inch to 3/4 reducer for the same pipe.  Making loading funnels for my blackpowder mortars.

Here's my latest.

I'm building a bigger one, a scale model of a Confederate 24 PDR. It's a 6 PDR.  I don't think it will be ready for this years shoot.

It is nice and impressive isn't it.  It was made by Domminick Carpenter http://blackpowder-cannons.com/index.htm a GBO sponsor. It weighs 92 pounds as it sits.  It is pop can diameter.

I have not shot it yet , but as soon as weather clears, I will.

I am going to need a crew for this gun...crew is expected to contribute to the operation of the gun.  First, I need  ammo---empty pop and beer cans...any volunteers?  ;D

Jon,

That must have been the American Rifleman special on the North South Skirmish Association. It's on the Outdoor life channel and i don't get that one, but have been hearing about it.

I was hoping that the Outdoor Channel had the movie clip of that segment, but I sure did find some good stuff on youtube.
