rem 1100 target? barrel

Hey just spent some cash on a barrel for my 1100 for turkey hunting. Good lookin barrel 2-3/4 chamber rem choke. My ? is what does
target
stamped on the barrel mean? How is it different than regular barrel? Thanks!!

Mostly just that chamber is 2-3/4" only so no 3" ammo which most turkey hunters want. If your gun is 2-3/4" only that doesn't matter. They are however optimized for lighter loads but short magnums shouldn't hurt anything.

THANKS!! I am sure glad I didnt waste a bunch of cash for that barrel. It is going to be my daughters gun and her first ever hunt. Man I cant wait!! Hope to call her in a state record bird !! Thanks again for the info
