Good idea using pre made abalone insersts! Where did you get them?
Any chance we can get some pics of your Redhawk and details on those grips as well!

I actually bought them on ebay. It was 10 bucks and some change for ten of them shipped.



I don't have any pics of the process but if I can remember all the steps I did I'll start another post on it in a more appropriate forum.

I finally got to an indoor range and it shot pretty well. I'm not much of a shot (I have tremors thanks to my grandfather) and the only ammo available was reloaded but I kept all the shots well inside the black at 10 yards so I was happy. It really seams to shoot well and if I can develope a load it likes and practice some I think it will do quite well.

This is the first 45 colt I have ever owned or fired. I think it will not be my last either. ;)
