Neither for me ..... make mine a 629 MG ..........

Three 44s

Interesting comment... why? One could easily argue a 629, with the endurance package introduced a few years back, loaded with 44mag mid-range loads will last as long as a GP100 and provide more power as one reason. I thought of another: 629MG=39.5 oz, Ruger GP100 4"/full lug=41 oz. We should be comparing the GP100 with a S&W N-frame - how about the 28-2 4" highway patrolman (41 oz!) or even a model 27?

These can easily be found on the used market and if you're willing to pony up the price of a new GP100 you should be able to find a model 28 new-in-box for about the same price.

Have you maybe bumped your head kinda hard in the last day or two? Finding a 27 or 28 in my area is really hard, and one NIB is impossible. And getting such a rare gun at the same price as a GP100? Please tell me where your gun shop is my friend, cuz I need to visit!!!  ;D
