This is becomeing very sad.
« on: February 17, 2009, 05:48:10 AM »
Have any of you read the comments under some of the News Stories posted on the web sites like Fox or even CNN ?
Americans feel lost ,and abandoned by our Nation and its leaders.
Its like no one is listening to them ,the American worker who payed their taxes and worked all their lives and never asked for anything.
Now they are the ones being blamed for all this mess ,and its as if we are all beginning to cling on to each other for support, instead of our Government.

I liked what one lady wrote from Penn. when she said that some of us a lucky enough to live in States that are the only functional Government they see anymore.
She said its going to be hard , but we now only have now two choices.
To stay like it is and pray it gets better.
Or to leave and hope we can make it on our own.
But to continue in this nightmare is frightening our children ,ruining our hopes and dreams , and we want to get on with our lives.
For good or Bad ,if we go at it on our own ,at least we will be in control of eiather our failure or success.
But sitting here day in and day out, like the cash cow waiting to be slaughtered is Insanity and madness.

I have to agree with her ,
In this time i Command ,That you take the Secular to Jerusalem .
There you rid the Holy City of the Scourge of Islam , Make the streets run red with the Blood of those who wish to wash Israel and Christianity from the face of the Earth.

Our government is lost and failing in all endeavors. We are leaderless and function without purpose or any real foundation based in principle. Our constitution has become meaningless and has vanished from the forum of political public debate. The Bill of Rights and our Declaration of Independence have become historical documents for viewing at the Smithsonian.  Our founding fathers and their great timeless wisdom has been tossed aside and ridiculed by modern intellectuals.

It shows all to well.

Actually all of you( voters) can implement changes every two years and the way the Feds are stirring up the soup they may very well have a surprise coming. I'm waiting for the Prez. to show up on the "Ellen Degenerate" show next.

We the People have what we the People have voted for. I don’t think anyone is necessarily asleep. The American public are not educated on our founding principles. At this point it appears few Americans really care anymore. The dependency has grown to the point that why would most care? The government is taking care of them. Who cares about founding principles….

We have a growing number of people that feel a growing sense of entitlement for those things we want or need, but do not necessarily deserve. To many people are looking for the government to give then “things” as opposed to working hard for what you want and or need. As long as this sense of entitlement is pervasive in our society, this country will continue to move further away from our founding principles. I see no need to feel this will ever change. The minority & non-minority socialist  population in this country is growing and becoming yet more dependent on the government for those things they what. They have been programmed by public education to believe this in this way and in the home & from the media they hear the same consistent message. We have an inflow of illegal’s and legal’s to this country all looking for the free hand outs from the government.

We will continue this slide down and away. The only alternative is formation of a new government or secession

phalanx, as you have stated, and as the public is saying, our leaders have turned a deaf ear to all of us. They are setting themselves up as the new American Aristocracy. The ruling class if you will, truly believes we are stupid, and clueless. Perhaps as Nation we are. My neighbors told me yesterday that they voted Obama, because they want change. The cannot see the forest for the trees. These are ALLEDGED conservatives whom I have gone to church with for 59 years. They are Southerners, just as myself, whom live conservatively, but they vote illogically. Go figure.
I myself quit some time back voting for the lessor of two evils, and have voted both Libertarian, and or Constitutional parties.
I noticed this year during the Presidential election that the Constitutional Party grew 30%. Until everyone has the courage to climb out of the Democrat or Republican box they have been put into the POLITICAL MONOPOLY will never be broken.
Our founding fathers WARNED AGAINST the "party system, and it has come to fruition.

America has no leaders.  We are lost.

"I have such reliance on the good sense of the body of the people and the honesty of their leaders that I am not afraid of their letting things go wrong to any length in any cause." --Thomas Jefferson to C. W. F. Dumas, 1788.

Jefferson was a brilliant man with great foresight. He was also very optimistic about the "good sense" of people, political leaders and their commitment to our founding principles. We today, have failed Jefferson.

You have no choice. You will have political leaders that will impact your life. These leaders either lead this country in the right or wrong direction. We are being led in the wrong direction.

Did any of you hear talk radio today ?
Who the Heck was that Congress Woman on with Hannity today ?
She tore Obama and the Commie Congress a new Booty.
She said it like it needs to be said ,if we do not stop this now ,we will never be able to go back to what we are without a Revolution.

Ive never Heard Hannity talk like he was doing today ,he was saying Civil War and Revolution.
Because they simply do not listen to us ,and intend on makeing this Country into the worse form of Communisum out there ,a Facist Dictator form of it like in Africa.

They passed that Bill today to make your children serve in the Obama Civilian Defense Force ,as Mandatory national Service.
Liberals are even saying this s not what we voted for ,This is a Nightmare and its in your face every day.
Guys this Enemy is in full gear now , it looking bad and he is basically enlisting the ones who support him into doing something that is going to get nasty.

And yes we do have leaders ,and they are starting to surface ,Palin ,This Congress Woman ,General Petraeus ,who has vanished with out so much as a word ,because he stood up to Obama.
These Tea Party's are becomeing so Frequent ,and large that the Police have to close off roads because of them.
Our Media is not telling us things , and Obama is moveing so fast now we cant keep up with it all.
Do not back off now , The Drudge Report and the Wall Street Journal has more realistic poll numbers ,and today Zogby went along with them also.
His Approval rating is only 38% now , We just cant let him continue to pass these Laws with Pelosi helping him.
A State Judge In NC,  today said that the other Courts that refuse to hear the cases of Obamas Birth Certificate are in violation of their Oath.
And that he would hear them if they are filed within this State ,thus causing him to set a presidence.

Palin as of today has over half a million dollars in attorney bills due to the left filing numerous complaints against her for violating petty rules and ethics violations. They have yet to prove anything, but their intention is to intimidate her into leaving public office and never seeking it again. i.e. the Presidency. Will they succeed? Who knows.

I agree. Just as our politicians haven't had the stomach to allow our troops to actually win a war since WWII, the American people as a whole haven't got the intestinal fortitude to actually study the issues. They are lazily apathetic. A new president here, a new congressman there. That is still in our future as far as their concerned. Many don't even vote, and when they do they vote the lessor of two evils which changes NOTHING. They are either a Republican or a Democrat. They are not smart enough to be anything else. They have been effectively DUMBED DOWN.
The American people will not change until they get HUNGREY. And I mean STARVING. Then they will pay attention. At the present they still have their bass boats, deer leases, the NBA, NFL, NHL, NASCAR, and the batteries are still up in the TV remote so they can watch their favorite HBO movies without having to get up off their lazy asses. Talk is cheap, and that's all they will do until the grub line dries up.

That congresswoman is Michele Bachman from minnesota. This state never ceases to amaze me. We elected jesse ventura as gov, paul wellstone and amy klobuchar (make osama look conservative) and a republican gov. (pawlenty), It's amazing, the libs we elect are way left, but strong conservatives seem to have the loudest voices, even though minn. is supposedly a democratic state. Can you believe the senate race between coleman and frankenstein?

Yes, all of the previous post atest to the present sad state of the nation.
Unfortunately it appears to be staying on course for more problems. The government is like a rudderless
ship.
One sad state of affairs is that BHO says that we need to get the country to be less dependent on foreign oil and develope more alternative fuel sources. Great! The only problem is what is the time frame and cost involved with this development? Meanhile you are going to have to use oil as the primary fuel source. But now the Secretary of The Interior( Salazar) is curtailing offshore drilling on the left and right coast of the U.S. Also he is creating similiar problems for onshore exploration especially in the west, such as Utah. Yes the price of oil has dropped, but how long will that last? So you can see the government is floundering around as on one hand we are told that we should wean ourselves from foreign oil. On the other hand the government is restricting exlploration efforts here in the U.S. You cannot have it both ways! It is going to be several years before a true alternative fuel source will be a viable reality. Mean while these restrictions need to be removed so exploration can proceed. Otherwise it will be a sad state of affairs when reserves start to wain and prices skyrocket!

If we had started working on alternative fuels 30 years ago, WHEN WE KNEW THAT THE CURRENT PROBLEM WAS GOING TO OCCUR, then we wouldn't be in the situation we are now.

It is the particular viewpoint that since it won't make a difference immediately that we shouldn't do anything that has left us with nothing to fall back on except for petroleum.

I think the libs and dems continue to assault Sarah Palin because she is still a threat to them and their parties - they would not waste their time otherwise.  And, along with those other states taking a harder line against federal policy I would sure love to see Sarah Palin and the great State of Alaska exploring and obtaining inexpensive natural resourses they could export to the southern states to help fuel our economy away from its dependence on foreign oil.  Actually, I would love to see Sarah flip off salazar and tell both he and bho that inexpensive fuel is gonna come on down from Alaska and that they can keep their highway improvement funds.

The cost to benefit analyses of using natural/internal resources to reduce our dependence on foreign oils is staggering but ya gotta understand that the dems and libs don't want any cost savings - their entire tax and spend lifestyle so totally depends on bilking the American taxpayer out of more money that they cannot imagine any reduction in taxes as it would reduce the amount of $ flowing into their useless, socialistic oriented programs.

I would love to see Colorado take the same approach.  If it is true that the amount of natural resources beneath the Rocky Mountains are so huge as to make all of the middle east and south American resources look small by comparison then we need to encourage those indivudal states to begin exploring and producing.  I doubt the federal government has enough power left to so thoroughly dissuade those states through the fear of some funding denials that something cannot be done.  What would the feds do, tell them they couldn't export cheap gas to other states.

Each state has sovereignty and should be allowed to provide for their citizenry without duress from the fed.  Can anyone imagine how huge a threat to the lib/dem parties Sarah Palin would become if sometime in the next 2-3 years she begins exporting gas to pumps that drops the cost of gas to the average user to less than 2 dollars a gallon?  And what the hay is it with these liberal groups that say 'no' to the type of wholesome family activities she exemplifies - fear I tell ya, fear.  They are so afraid someone like Sarah will come to the forefront and crush them (kwush'm, actually) that they take the old party tactic of trying to tie her up with so many lawsuits she can't breath.  Fortunately, they don't realize that their pollution doesn't stretch as far as Alaska and maybe the folks in Colorado will also take note..... jmtcw...

Minnesota is full of mostly all stupid people. To date, I never met anyone from that state that had an active  brain cell. Their history of elected officials is proof of just how stupid they are. Its nothing more than a cold Kalifornia.
Minnesota does not have Democratic party, it has the DFL Democrat-Farm-Labor.

The unions control the DFL and no matter what and they are very good a making voters feel like victims, and making business look like the devil. (We are one of the leading welfare states in the Union, so we have all kinds of Chicago and Wisc. trash that moved here when they toughened up the laws, plus a large gaggle of mulsims. whose ass the Dem. kiss.)

The Dem. bring the human debris in here, and they take union jobs, but the union bozo workers keep voting in the Dem.
The Rep. gov. before Pawlenty makes rinos look conservative.

The Ford plant here would already be closed, EXCEPT, the high gasoline prices last year drove gas prices so high, small truck sales boomed, so the Ford small truck plant has a couple of more years.
Businesses which employ people in this state are leaving left and right because of the very high taxes, but the Dem. are pushing for more taxes.
Now Pawlenty he tried to force a tax on Minn. citizens by calling it a FEE, the court said you cannot do that. He is a joke too.
Right now the Dem. are trying to push tax x,y and z, with EDUCATION bs. leading the way , and with all the outstate liberal imports that have moved here, it is getting worse.
Hubert Humphrey was LOOOOOVED by many here and he was a pathetic liberal.

WHen Governor Turn-buckle won, as lousy as he was he was the BEST choice.
