Here's the new family, allthough the .41 Flattop will be running away to a new home shortly.  All 5 came from the same estate to a local dealer.  I bought the .45 (it's ported w/holster wear), took it home friday, played with it all weekend, then bam... I was hooked, went back monday & put the rest on lay away.

Boge's soon to be .41:

The 357 Border Special has some finish issues, but should make a fun shooter none the less, one question- what's with the ugly plastic grips...whoa

The #5/.45 (middle) has some honest holster wear, & a couple extra holes added to the barrel, but again will make a great shooter:

Didja get another Boge?

Some guy tried to post one for sale here the other day but since this is not a classified forum I deleted and told him to put it there. To my knowledge he has not. I think he wanted $2400-$2500 or so. Don't recall the details. If you're interested PM me and I'll see if I can figure who it was. I think I should be able to.

Yes I just checked and can provide you his contact info if you want. $2400 was his asking price. His post said:

I have one I could be tempted to sell.  Fitted with a set of paul persinger ivory grips, would let go for $2400.

That constituted a classified when combined with his user name and isn't allowed on discussion forums.

Can't say I'm thrilled to get rid of it, but my wife appreciates it when I pay the bills. :(
Maybe you will remember wher it came from come time to sell  ;)

GB - he emailed me about it and said the same thing.  I was interested and asked for a price.  Turns out, he listed it on Gunbroker that day and it sold with Buy It Now at his $2400 price.  Probably a good thing, as I likely would have bought it from him....

Cubrock, what caliber was it? Next time send him to me - I'd be sorely tempted, especially with the ivories.

I'm really excited about the .41 Magnum Flattop Target - as I'm relatively recently "into" .41s, it will be a nice present for myself in celebration of surviving my recent heart attack.

44wheelman, I will remember that! Thanks again for letting me in on your AWESOME score.

That West Texas Flat top used to be mine!!!! The most beautiful sixgun I ever owned! I put less than 100 rounds through it, it was just too pretty to shoot too much! I miss it, but sure am glad to see it wind up with another person who will cherish it. Divorce sucks!lol Have a good time with it, and treat her well! Regards, Steve

Doing a howdy to all as a new member.  And--Bouncing this one up to the top for Boge.

Looking over the pictures of your 41mag you picked up, 99.9% sure its a dandy, that I have shot, loved and sadly had to part with.

Shoot me an e-mail and I will forward you a couple pictures of it and the other two TLA #5's I parted with 2002-03 timeframe.  Wish I had kept up with the serial numbers.  One of the #5's was serial number k-6, but cannot recall the other.

Will,

Welcome!

Your email address is hidden in your profile.  Please email me, as I'm writing a book on TLAs and would like to get info on the guns you had.  Thank you very much!  :)

Yeah - turns out my first Number Five was one of Will's guns and he offered me a second, which I should have taken.  Doh!
