 I doodled this up the other day...



 A simple small cannon to shoot a 1# lead ball.

why the nuts on the front ?? elevation screews or ??

1 inch bore and 4 inch od ??  you are planning some heavy loads   ;D ;D

1# (1 lb) lead shot are almost exactly golf ball diameter.

4" diameter is a little under size for 1 lb shot (1.7") if you use the 1 caliber wall rule.  However, it is the same proportion as a Bronze 12 pounder Napoleon.

 It will be hefty but manageable. I don't want it to flip. Yes, the nuts will be for adjustable feet.

 With a 2 7/8" OD seamless steel tube inside of a 4" one with a welded/pinned breech and a vent liner it'll be plenty safe.
