After my experience with an M-2 Carbine in the USAF I never wanted another even when they were $14 from the NRA in the 1950's & 1960's.

I have never really encountered an M1 carbine that was terribly
inaccurate? And I have fired maaaany of them. I do not recall firing one at 200 yards
though. 150 yes but 200 may be stretching it a bit for the 7.62 x 33.
I love these little rifles, wouldn't trade my 1944 GM inland for a brand new
AR, thats for sure.

That's an interesting read. I'm quite fond of the little carbine, it's about the only military semi auto for which I have any use. I've owned and loaded ammo for several carbines and with a 4x scope I expect them to go under 2moa with good ammo. I think the carbine's reputation for poor accuracy is mainly due to the very poor quality of surplus ammo. I've found the Federal American Eagle to be quite good. I've taken a couple of deer with handloads using the Speer 110 grain hollowpoint and they didn't know it wasn't an '06.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.
