Loading .22 honet

I bought a neat CZ .22 hornet, but now I am reading that the hornet is pretty touchy to reload.  Any advice will be appreciated.  I plan to be shooting anything from groundhogs up to close range coyotes.  Any suggestions as to bullets and loads?

Try the Hornady 40 gr. V-Max and 12.0 gr. of Lil'Gun. and work up to 13.0.

The Hornet does tend to have a thin neck so if crimping be watchful that you don't use too much pressure and buckle the top of the case .  :o

Anyone use Lee dies?  I have a set in .22 hornet and their website says there is no need to buy an additional tapered die as that is now already in any die after 1986.  The set also has the extra crimp die.

The hornet i had erchambered to k hornet was touchy.not os bad now.real deadly on groundhog.loaded with 11.6 gr win. 296 under 35 gr v-max

Some European 22 Hornets have a .223" groove diameter instead of .224". I am not sure if the CZ is one of them or not. I think you can still shoot .224" bullets even if it is a .223" groove diameter, but you will need to back off the powder a little and make sure you get a bullet jump before hitting the rifling so you will not to get an over pressure situation.

For the past 2 years I have been using Lil-Gun for my 22 Hornets & 22k Hornet. I used 296 before that. ( I still use 296 in my T/C 22 Hornet 9" Custom barrel. )
Lil-Gun seems to give better over all accuracy with lighter ( 35 & 40 gr ) bullets.
My son's Ruger 22 Hornet wouldn't group very well with any powder & bullet combo. I switched to Lil-Gun powder ( 12.0grs to 13.0grs ) with 35gr V-Max or 40gr V-Max bullets. Now it will shoot 1"  groups.
My T/C Custom carbine barrel in 22k Hornet loves 13.0grs of Lil-Gun under a 35gr V-Max bullet. Ragged hole groups with this.
