Where to get an old Crosman .22 pellet gun repaired?
« on: February 21, 2009, 11:46:51 AM »
Hi guys, I have this old gun, well I bet that sounds familiar. Well I do have thiks old gun, a CO2 powered Crosman .22 caliber model 180 pellet gun that I would like to get repaired, it leaks and will not hold the CO2. I ead it repaired once years ago and it did not work from the day I got it back so I want to be sure it goes to a reputable repair service, reasonably priced would be good as well. I have had the rifle for 50 years and I bought it used but it has sentimental value to me. Is it possible to buy a kit and rebuild it myself? It does not seen like it would be too difficult. Anyway, any help you learned guys can give me will be much appreciated. I live in New England (Massachusetts) if that helps...Thanks...I don't want to send it out and get it back not working again....<><....:)

Andy----Try this guy

   L. E.Bellrose

He is listed from the Crossman website as factory authorized repair. I had him put on a steel breech on my 1377 pistol for $10. Pretty reasonable! :)

Mac-1 airguns in Gardena CA. Been dealing with him for 20+ years. Old Crosmans are one of his specialties. You can get seal kits from him if you want. The 180 is usually a simple re-seal unless the exhaust valve seal is bad.

I've seen a few online tutorials on how to fix similar Crosmans, and all but two of the seals on the 180 are standard size O-rings...

just repaired a Crosman Pellmaster. It was actually a lot of fun
and now I am quite familiar with how this particular gun works too.
I got an o-ring kit from a friend who works on transmissions and it had everthing
I needed.

Hello
Give Mac-1 a call and ask for Tim. He will send you anything you need to do the job.  His number is 310-327-3582.  I've done business with him for years.
He will take care of your needs.
