Good morning everyone.  14 degrees fairly clear skies with just light high thin clouds. Should be a nice one today.

Still working on getting ready for the major artilllery offensive up at Sunburst this coming week.  Made a powder funnel yesterday.  Going to pour mortar mix today in the pop cans. and make some wabs.  Then all I have to do is make the main charges.

Montanan how goes the archery pulling shoulder tharapy?

dpe, you know if you straighten the reloading room you not be able to find anything and that will result in chaos as you look for whereyou put things away.

MT Sourdough any herd updates?

AtLaw why are you so quite?

Forster, haven't heard from you since your were headed to the grocery store to get flowers...where they out?

Good morning with a nice start at 10* above zero.... it will get better.

My archery practice is going good... I'm only going to do it a couple times a week until the weather gets better.  After the snow melts I have outdoor bag targets that I can work with.

Coffee is on and the wife is still asleep and it's now 17*  ;D

Day is half over  but Good morning any way .  ;D
It is currently 28 degrees , clear skies , but a raw SE wind .
Boys lost out last night . Over confidence then panic killed them . Leading for 3 full quarters in to the 4th , A 10 point lead with 3 minutes to go , tied up for an over time , then lost by 4 points.  Is there life after Basket Ball ?

Doug , we will be in Gt.Falls the 26th , Doctoring with the Wife. May be staying down for tourney if boys win challenge  game Monday night (tomarrow )

And here is Jacks new hair cut .!!!  He was not very cooperative , but I'm sure he feels better .

We could shoot for next weekend for the ice breaking.  Give me time to get the mortar rounds cured...haven't told the wife I am going to bring them in the house to cure. Maybe put apiece of card board down on the floor behind the door by the stove and see if she notices. 

Here's the funnel set up I made yesterday to get the powder in the chamber.

Well it's 11:00 am and I haven't started the reloading room yet.  Can't stay off this darn thing long enough to get any thing done.  It was 27* an hour ago and the sun is out, but a little wind so kinda cool.  Hope it gets high enough to melt all the rest of the snow.  I've got a friend thats known for starting fires around camp with his small cannon, we won't let him play with it anymore at our blackpowder camps.  Yours looks pretty impressive Double D.  Best to all today.  DP

Beautiful day out here, way too nice to be sitting in the office "working".  :'(  Speaking of which I got some stuff I have got to get finished today, I'll be glad when busy season is over.

Well, I always been shy and retirin by nature...  ::)  But been real busy.  Only time to jump on, read a few posts, maybe do a short answer or two... stuff like that.

I gwanna get caught up today though.  They's 'nuther yankee invasion this week, it's 45 and windy!  Brrrrr!  To cold to do anything outside!  ;)

Hello everyone.  Ive been out by Phillipsburg yesterday and down by Darby today.  It seems that every sun baked southern slope is peppered with Mulies.  I don't remember the last time I have seen so many. Would be a great time to do some shed hunting. 
 I might be wrong, but it seems these warm days and receding snowlines have allowed the elk to move up a little higher out of the river bottom valleys.  Fresh snow may push them back down soon, but it is getting to feel like they may be heading back up for spring.  I havent seen any more of those sickly looking whitetails, but I am sure that this weather has helped out all those critters. 
  I am still seeing a lot of bald eagles.  Im seeing beaucoup ducks and geese covering the valley fields.
  It appears that the big horn sheep are off the floor and moving across the southern slopes with steep rock walls.
  I think from this point, the critical factor is snow pack levels.  We usually get a lot of fresh snow up high in the month of March.
