Best  bike I ever owned? Choice of 2: '72 Norton 750, Combat engine tweaked by Skip Eakin, Quaife 5-spd.; traded it for a new '73 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, fast, smooth, good-handing. Wish I still had either one, or at least what they'd be worth now...

byron....it seemed like trolling to me.  the issue had been dead for a while, and when i saw your comment i took it as you coming along and trying to stir things up with that first post.  i dont think i was wrong to take it that way, but if i by chance did misunderstood ya, i am sorry.

1938 Indian.  Bought it when I was in High School, a looong time age for $15.  Engine was in a big box and I put it back in shape.  Why do we always regret selling things when it is too late!

No problem Myronman3, Like you I've been around GB for a few years. You know trolls don't last long around here. I just hope we can get some more trafic through this forum.

deernhog, even though I ride a vulcan 1600 I did buy my wife a honda metropolitan a couple of years ago. Guess what she won't ride it. It sits in the container.

my best bike?  yikes...probably my 96 springer.   it never left me up the creek, never used a drop of oil, it was gorgeous, and i sure did love that bike.  sadly, i was run off the road while doing 60 by two cars drag racing and i totaled it; but i walked away from it in one piece.

You walked away... that's all that matters. They make new bikes every day. ;)

So true on the walking away.  I have a friend that has been in a wheel chair since the early 80's , he crashed a 900 Kaw. He would love to be able to walk again.

I love this 06 ultra. My 01 RK was a keeper, but the wife wanted to be a little more comfortable so we got the road sofa.It was great from Va to SD in 08,but around here in the Blue Ridge Mtns the RK was king.It would be hard now to do without the tunes while cruising though.
The ground is always level at the foot of the cross..............
