New England 20 Gauge NWTF
« on: February 24, 2009, 05:17:22 AM »
I have a 20 gauge New England National Wild Turkey Federation stamped in the stock. It have a laminated camo stock. What's a little strange it has a 25.5" mod choke barrel.
The gun is like new 99% plus. What is the value? Any comments would be appreciated.

Thank

Check out the acution sites. I've seen pictures of the NWTF 20g and it is a nice shotgun.  Someone might pay a little extra due to the stock but really it's not worth very much more than any other NEF 20g in similar condition.  Someone might buy it just because of the stock.

The stock is nice, and the receiver is blue rather than case colored.

I think that might not be the origional barrel. The youth models had 22"barrels and the adult models had 24"full fixed chokes. Value would be in the hundred dollar range.

You can usually find out if the barrel was factory fitted by the last 3 digits of the frame serial number being engraved on the left side of the underlug of the barrel, you'll have to remove the barrel to see it more than likely.

I bought one last week. Mine has a wood stock with the NWTF logo pressed into it. It has a full size adult stock. Blued frame and the 25 1/2 inch barrel with a modified choke and 3 inch chamber. Mine looks like new. Probably not for long though. It's going to become a combine and tractor cab gun. I paid $110 for it at a gun shop. Maybe too much, I don't know. I thought it was worth it to me.
