I love those Cur dogs. If I wasn't so stinking banged up from all my youthful escapades I would have have a half dozen of them. There's a guy down in Durant Oklahoma who hunts hogs with his. Looks like a real hoot. We used to hunt dogs all the time back in the day. English Pointers and Labs for birds, Beagles on rabbits, Greyhounds and Black & Tan on coyotes. We had one heck of a dog food bill, not to mention the clean up. :o

Oh to be young again.

I have a female a little over a year old.will tree squirrels but will not bark,been letting her run loose.Great hunter never stops minds great.sofar interested in nothing but bushytails.If she doesn't turn out she still is a great family dog.Just loves the grandsons.Great dog.

We had 5 but we're down to 1 now. Had to put 2 down for aggressive behavior gave 2 away and we have one female that's 7 years old and a pretty good squirrel dog. They are extremely head strong and won't stray from task. Good dogs all and all but hard to work with sometimes.

I've got three rite now. One didn't turn out to hunt so she stays inside.  Very good pet.  Two are outside.  One is a good squirrel coon dog and the other is trying but learning slow.  All breeds have some quirks to them but overall I love the Mountain Curs.

You will find that you have a terrific dog.  They are smart, brave and protective of their family, and oh yes, they will hunt anything you want to hunt.
