Insurgents In town
« on: February 24, 2009, 09:26:38 PM »
In several places around this area I have seen jihadist buying very nice homes in nice neighborhoods and adding large dormatory additions to them, making them twice the size.

Now for the paranoid part. I had a nightmare tonight(the reason i'm on here right now). In this nightmare the jihadist were building these large addons to build a nuke inside and then at a set time detonating these all over the country. Man did i come outa that tempurpedic!

Now that may be paranoid and far fetched, but i got to wondering( i know thats dangerous in itself) What in alla's turban are these rag heads building these additions for.

Anybody or LEO's out there seen any of this stuff and is it happening anywhere else or just in my nightmares?

Your patience and understanding will be appreciated. I'm disscombobulated due to the fact that my stress level( that being my bodys reaction to me wanting to choke the living s@#% out of somebody) is way up there these days.

The additions could be for a "mini-mosque" inside, for them and friends, or for home-schooling. I think most re-models require a building permit, with plans filed with the city or county building/code folks, which probably are viewable upon request by the public.
In regards to your nightmare, if such a plan was desired, I think it more apt for the devices to be built in one location ( due to the extreme difficulty in machining, etc ), then distributed around the country. More likely, in my opinion, would be for a couple of devices to be built oversea's, brought by cargo ships, one to each coast,off-loaded into smaller vessels ( pleasure boat, or small commercial fishing boat), brought into a major city waterfront, then detonated.
Pleasant Dreams!!

Oldshooter, I think I'ld give them a little time, 6 months to a year, then I'ld make some anonymous phone calls to the local DEA about suspiscious drug activity going on in those homes.  I don't know about you, but I can't tell a hookah from a bong.  gypsyman

Me either , what in haites is a hookah?

May have been my subconsious (sp) that made me have the dream but the addons do make me nervous I am gonna check with a code inspector I know.

Did you watch the TV show Jericho? I'd be far more concerned about forces within our own government exploding nukes for the same purposes as show in that TV series than about those muzlims as bad as I consider them I figure our own government officials are a far bigger danger to most of us than they are.

I hate dreams like that, no more pizza after 5 pm

You have a point there GB It may not be insurgent related at all it may just be training facility for Convience store clerks. They operate all the ones in this area.

All i can say is i hope the first nuke goes off in my back yard if it comes to that!

Jericho !! One of my favorites. What happened, no second season or did the Govt. nix it because people might be getting ideas??
I wouldn't worry about nukes being built or assembled. Think of in how little space and weight a biological weapon could be made and distributed.

Re: Ad On space on a home. LOL I lived on the West Coast( B.C.) and the East Indians had a small tribe living in a super size house where zoning allowed single family dwelling only. The basements were divided up in sleeping cubicles with portable stoves, stove top,  dishwashers etc.

Now wouldn't a minaret be an interesting contrast to a synagogue or a cathedral? :D

Adolf Hitler had attacks/crimes against the German population staged in order to create histeria and blame it on the Jews.   The people were more than willing to give him the power and control to make Germany "safe" from within.  Brownshirts, Gestapo and SS followed.  We all know where that ended up.

If dark powers inside or around our Government decided to stage or allow muzzie attacks against our own population the next step would be for the President to undertake some sort of martial law.   Of course with our troops being stretched thin overseas, there would not be enough manpower here at home to enforce martial law.   Hence the creation of the Civilian Security Force.

Scary stuff....

Funny you should say that.  My wife bought me the first season for Valentines day.  She got hooked on it after watching the 1st episode.  Her statement after watching season one was... no wonder this show isn't on tv anymore.  It makes americans think they could survive on thier own w/o the government's help...

Consequently it has caused her to have several bad dreams as well lol...

Great show if you haven't seen it.  You can stream some of the 1st season from www.cbs.com/jericho if your internet if fast enough.

I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

My grandparents have neighbors from Zimbabwe.  The husband was born in S. Africa from Indians that were practicing Hindus.  The wife was born in Zimbabwe from Indian parents that were praticing Muslims.  They met in school, converted to Christianity, eloped, and moved to the US 15 or so years ago.  They are two of the most devout Christians I know, and walk the walk more so than all but a few American Christians that I know.  They had a huge addition built onto their house.  In their case it is because the situation in Zimbabwe is so bad her parents came to live with them along with a couple of her brothers and sisters.  His brother also lives with them.  With the exception of her father, who has some major health problems they all work and have pretty decent jobs.  If you are taking notes, you will notice that her parents and siblings are Muslim (admittedly not of Arab decent), and his brother is Hindi and they all live with Christians in one household... Of them all his brother is really the only one non-practicing.

I would say most of the additions are to house additional family members.  Could be to build nukes....but....I kind of doubt it.  Americans are one of the few cultures that is limited to 1 family households.  About half of Europe and almost all eastern cultures have multi-family and multi-generational households.  Look forward to that becomeing the norm in America as well due to the poor economy-it's a great way to pool resources and keep everyone fed and warm.
This that I do, I do by my own free will.

Wylie,
I certainly hope so. I just want to make it clear that I Didn't think that was what they were doing I dreamed it. I am not usually a paranoid person but the dream/nightmare was real enough. I started the thread at about 2:30 am after I sprang from bed. It does make me nervous with all the terrorist cell talk and all but it may  possibly be very innocent just like you said.

Yeah, shooter, I didn't thing you REALLY thought that they were building nukes in their additions, LOL.

I'm going to be perfectly honest here and I'll probably get flammed for it.  It is 100% my opinion.

1. I think that Muslims as a whole are a very emotional people.  They are easily enraged and do stupid things.  Their religion states that passion is the will of god and rules reason.  Western society tends to be more analitical..."turn the other cheek."  Because of these core differences, I do not think that there will ever be "peace" between our peoples, but I don't think that it is "them or us" that some make it out to be. I think of it as the "family you avoid at holidays" on a global scale.

2. I think that the 9/11 attacks were authentic and we will always be at risk from similar scale attacks, but these are extremists (like the Unibomber and McVeigh.)

3. I think that our government has taken an isolated attack and used it to write the Patriot Act, which is infinately more dangerous than a terrorist attack.

4. I think the One we need to fear is our government, because it is losing its fear of us.

This that I do, I do by my own free will.

Well Wylie  the thing I have a problem with is the fact that they(the radicals) attack innocents. I understand the insurgents in Iraq, are doing what I would be doing if they were here and occupying us. But you dont attack innocents in skyscrapers and airplanes!

I can live and let live but I dont think the jihadists feel that way do you?

All Jericho fans will be happy to know that on Jan 15, 2009, TV.com reported that a Jericho feature film is in development. What this could mean for the future of the show is still unknown!

Not likely that any WMD, nuclear or otherwise would be built on location..much easier to import and then distribute in an open society.
Terrorists are more likely to save any WMD for maximum effect, so unless you live in  a high density or landmark area your chances of a direct hit are small.
The new Homeland Security chief gave a speech today and I understand she didn't even mention terrorism, preferring to pretend that her greatest concern should be hurricanes, floods and tsunamis..
The Bush admin kept us free from attack for 7 years..but the obumma admin figures Bush did it wrong. If we get hit just once during this administration..their credibility should be toast..

quit worring guys those nukes will be in the holds of old freighters and detonated in the harbors of the u.s. the resulting tidal wave will cripple the harbors for years effectively stopping import and export. which is easier and cheaper a multi million dollar missle program or an old rusty freighter and a dozen sucide bombers to crew it.
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten

Right you are on that Redtail...a stupidcide bomber can strike anywhere. They figure a couple pounds of plastic and one fanatical sap is a cheap price, so look for those in shopping centers, sports events and on busses etc.

Do you all actually believe that the terrorists are TRYING to attack the US? Seriously. If a poor, uneducated Mexican can cross our border at will, do you think we can stop a trained, dedicated terrorist with almost unlimited funds?  Put the coolaide down, folks, they are leaving us alone.  TERROR! :o  TERROR!  :o  It's all a shell game to distract us while they shred what is left of our Constitution.

Let's go over some interesting #'s.

# of deaths from 09/11=2,974+24 missing, so let's say 2,998.
# of murders in the US in 2007=  16,929
$ spent in Iraq as of 08/2008 $600,000,000,000.
LAPD Budget $1,189,000,000
NYPD Budget $2,000,000,000
NOPD Budget $91,000,000
LVPD Budget $466,475,681
etc..etc...

We could raise the LEO budget of the 600 largest cities in America by $1,000,000,000 each.  This would double the LAPD, be 150% of NYPD and raise the NOPD by 10X's!  I think that the $ would be much better spent in this manner.  I'd even go so far as to say take $300,000,000 and secure our borders, then split the other $300,000,000 between the 300 largest cities in the US...

Let's go one step farther.  Let's disband the ATF($1,014,000,000), stop the "War on Drugs ($7,900,000,000), and stop the "War on Terror($864,000,000,000)."  That would give us around $872,914,000,000 to secure our borders from enemies without and within.
This that I do, I do by my own free will.

oK Wylie I'll bite..........so they do cut all these things do you actually believe they would apply the surplus to secure our borders and improve law enforcement ? I think not, if  they did these things and I agree that they need to be done,  These same folk that are taking the constitution apart would  throw these funds at equally ridiculus "stimulus" or other leftist make the government bigger projects.  They are awarding judgements to "illegals who have been stopped by landowners right now! They are building bridges over creeks so small business owners can get to their places of business. and they are building a high speed train from Disneyland to  las vegas. I think that maybe breaking a foot off in some insurgent ass in Afganistan and Iraq is not such a waste after all, compared to what is going on right now.

Now back to my post I really think that the Pizza I ate that night caused my nightmare. The nightmare we are fixing to start is not gonna need any help from spicy food to keep us awake at night!

what could they put in a container ship ?

Anything they want.  Which is kind of my point.  If security was the real reason for the War on   :o TERROR  :o don't you think the government's 1st priority would be to secure our borders, land, sea, and air? As mentioned in some other posts, my best friend runs a company for his father in China.  They do CC machining and metal stamping.  They exported some of their older machines from the US to their shop in China.  The machines are very low generation machines, which means that they COULD be use to make things that make things that make guns, bombs, ammunition, etc... It took them 9 MONTHS to get through customs in China, everyone who worked for the comany in the US and China had backgound checks and they had to sign a warrant for random surprise insepctions of their China shop.  The new machines (more advanced and more efficient) were imported from China.  USA didn't even check the container.
This that I do, I do by my own free will.

Sorry, I don't buy that. My dad worked for the National Cargo Bureau, prior to that he was a Merchant Marine. No container comes into this country without inspection.
