I have a rossi braztech single shot 223 that I have searched and searched
for a scope base.
the dealer that I got it from is supposed to get me one; but been waiting
for six months and thought I would try other sources.
  If anyone has any info on where I can find this item and would share it; it would be appreachated; I have searched the web with no results.

Rossi sells the scope mount.  For ease of purchase, though, a Thompson Contender mount works perfectly (which is what Rossi sells)...  hope this helps.

I put the Weaver 92A mount on my Rossi single shot.  It fits perfect.
Dick's Sporting carries them in my area.  Around 10 bucks.
