G2 Carbine Barrel Diameter?
« on: February 26, 2009, 03:27:36 PM »
Anyone have a G2 Carbine Barrel handy and a set of calipers to grab a barrel diameter measurement.

Thanks!

Bill

My 17 Mach 2 barrel measures .812 at the forend screws and .807 at the muzzle.

A full bull measures .810" or somewhere very close to that. End to end.

Thanks Guys...   Just ordered a 7-30 Waters 24" full bull from MGM.  They state theirs is .810, so I ordered a G2 Forearm for it.  Should fit with out too much alteration.

If it were me I would call them (either Jeff or Kerry) and tell them exactly what foreend you will have. They can then make sure spacing is correct regardless.

This one of the barrels they had in stock.  The mount screw spacing is not the issue, as it's set up for the super 16 forend.  The G2 carbine forend should match this.

I was trying to get a barrel diameter for a stock T/C G2 barrel to see how much I would have to hog out the barrel channel to fit the MGM.   As it's .810, it should be real close, and will probably only require minor work to get it floated.

Again...   Thanks for all the info.
