Thanks to ole Double D for
« on: February 27, 2009, 06:58:36 AM »
Many thanks to Doug (DD) for posting the picture of his proposed copper funnel configuration for a  neat little mortar powder loader.  Great idea.  Because of that picture, I had to hurry over to the local plumbing shop and buy up the materials to make one for myself.  Here's a picture of mine, stuck into the bore of a beer/soda can mortar tube (fabricated by powderkeg) which is mounted on a cast iron sled carriage (bought from SBR).  The powder can makes the picture look pretty darn messy but didn't want to omit the can and take the chance of catching the wrath of DD. ;D

Nice looking little funnel! Does the trick! Good job to both of you, DD for the idea and "how to" therapy, and Blaster for using the supplies to make a working model! I did the Linstock with a old style wooden clothes pin, a threaded joiner piece and a 3 foot dowel, with the copper end cap for the butt end, works great. BoomLover

I think he was referring to the enforcement of the rule, not the origin!   ;D

Then again, it might be bragging!
