I'm in favor of some of the new technologies. A good friend of ours, on the west coast of course, wanted kids and it wasn't working so they did some version of the test tube baby. It worked out for them and they're good an happy parents with fine children. I think this is the norm, and the octomoms are the unfortunate exceptions.
The things I object to are the practices that increase the likelihood of multiple births exceeding twins, like quadruplets and such. That doesn't work well and the babies need a lot of time in the hospital, which is risky and expensive.
