I am not so much complaining of the price as the fact the guy does not know what he is selling. I might be a little in ahh also if I pass a car lot that was selling a Chevy with Ford sign on it.

Yea I have to agree there. You look and it says no reserve. Then next to it they post a starting price higher than the gun is worth.

I'm registered on gunbroker - he may honestly not know what he has. I can't get the pictures to show up on the page for some reason. I may contact him later. I've contacted sellers before who had items incorrectly indentified in some way and they are usually thankful afterwards.

I once contacted a seller to tell her that she had incorrectly identified her Model 70 rifle as having a pushfeed action when she in fact had the more desirable (from a selling viewpoint) CRF action. She changed her ad and also raised the price by $200.00.

I did contact the seller and he says the VTR I told him about - with the 22" triangular barrel and green stock , is the new version of the VTR where his is the old version , or first style. I've only know of one VTR - I guess I'll side with Dale on this one.

There is only one VTR and it has a built in muzzle brake. Now they did come out a new rifle this year that also has the triangle barrel without the brake but it is not called a VTR. I can't remember the name of it at this moment. Dale

No problem Skunk. We should get there at about the same time. I don't have a German Shepherd, so I broke my Jack Russell to pull a buggy. He does very well pulling it but, sometimes he gets side tracked chasing a cat. Maybe the Oldshooter will have the problem taken care of before you and I get there.

Still the nerve of that guy really steams me.

Yeah, it's too late Dale. It goes way beyond the ad now. The nerve of some people - saying a SPS is a VTR and thinking they can get away with it. No, Dee and I are meeting up with Oldshooter and we're going to fix that guy so he never makes you upset again. I like Dee's idea with the buggy (saddle sores you know). I don't know about a dog team with a Jack Russell and a German Shepherd. For one I'm not sure your Shepherd could keep up, and the second problem would be if ole Huff kicks your shepherds butt. I just don't want you mad at me or ole Huff.

You are absolutely right Dee. I hadn't thought about the two dogs fighting. Last time my Shepherd fought with a Jack Russell I thought my Shepherd was going to die. It took me an hour to get that Jack Russell out of her throat. I thought my Shepherd was going to choke to death.

Well see what I mean Skunk. If your dog swollered Ole Huff, it would kill that Shepherd for sure. A rottweiler swollered Ole Huff one time and I thought that was the end of Ole Huff. In about 10 minutes that dang rottweiler went to hollering and just fell over dead.
Ole Huff ATE HIS WAY OUT. He has since developed a taste for rottweiler meat and won't touch chicken meat. He hasn't ever ate mule before though Oldshooter. We might be able to hang the mule out front and save Skunks' shepherd.

I decided to take care of this situation myself. Since he is in Indiana too I'll head over to see him and bring my greeen SPS stock and a hack saw. I'll switch stocks and use the hack saw to to cut the barrel to the proper VTR length and also cut in a muzzle break! He'll not deceive Dale and me and get away with it!

He will then have a "real" VTR - well , can't change the twist rate though.
