Hi! New to this site and sport. Been a registered trapshooter for 35 years but always loved handguns. Just bought Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter, .44 w/ 71/2". Want to shoot 240 gr. mostly to warm up for hunting. What powder do you guys recommend. Have put 100 rds of Blazer through it and it is great. At 25 yds I could easily hit a 4" plate but want to do a lot better. Thanks in advance.

With any 240 grain bullet in the .44 Magnum I use 24.0 grains of either H110 or W296. They are the same powder.

Thanks a lot, think I'll go with 110 for now. What about grips? Seems most say if it has round guard it will not work. Would like to put Pachy's or Hogue on for control. I hunt muley's here and think 50 yds in max for me, agree?
