spinach and brussell spouts???

my girl friend just added these to my garden list and i have no idea how to grow this so advise you can give me will be helpful.

no exprience with the sprouts but im thinking bout growing them this year.spinach apparently is very delicious to bugs in my experience.keep it dusted with sevin dust every chance yu get.keep it well weeded or mulched. if yu can keep the grass and weeds away from it the bugs dont seem to be as bad.fresh spinach is nuttin like the crap yu git in a can.its well worth the effort.ive recently been introduced to brussel sprouts as a food and love them.

we can put this one on hold for now. i just found out both are winter plants.
