Accuracy issue with 22
« on: March 02, 2009, 07:35:43 AM »
I hope you guys can help me with this problem. My daughter (11y/o) got a 22/410 combo from her Grandpa for her birthday. The 410 barrel shoots great, but the 22 is shooting way high. I shot it with & without the forearm & there was no change. I checked the fit of the barrels & both lockup tight. Nothing I would try made any difference, it still shot high (8-10"). While cleaning the barrel I noticed that the front sight appears to have been filed down. (Gun was bought used). I put it on a sandbag @ 25yds, lined up the sights, then dropped the front sight below the rear & fired. It hit within the 2" circle on the target. Why someone would file down a front sight is beyond me. Here's my problem, where can I get a replacement sight? I would appreciate any help.

You could just add a little JB weld to the top of the sight then color it black with a sharpie. ;)
