180 gr. LFNGC .357 mag
« on: March 02, 2009, 09:05:56 AM »
I have some 180 gr. cast LFNGC's that I am loading for a .357 mag Contender barrel. The bullets are crimped in the crimp grove. I tried dropping one into the cylinder of my Blackhawk, and it won't go all the way in, the base stands off of the cylinder approximately.102. The ogive of the bullets is about .001 larger than the throat. You can get them to chamber if you push hard enough. How would I load these bullets for use in the Blackhawk or is it worth the effort? They are working well in the contender barrel.
