I can't understand logistically how they would enforce something like this, not that they wouldn't try...maybe that's what the Obamanation brownshirts are all about?
Who would still want to be a LEO when this comes to pass? I know it's been done in other countries, but those places also do not have the "fighting spirit" that built this country. I see it starting by sliding in the "Grandfather clause" then coming for them after they've stopped the flow of new.

I'm of the opinion(and it's just that) that God doesn't turn his back on anyone. Much to the contrary, people have turned their back on him and he brings his wrath to bear as punishment, until and unless we repent.

I wanted to chime in on this one as well....

I personally don't own any of these guns currently being outlawed, and don't have any plans to purchase one.
I will, however, stand up with those who do. It starts with this gun, then it goes to that gun, then, before we know it, it is all guns.

On the issue of God. We as a nation have turned our baack on God. I don't feel that God has turned his back on us. He has just removed his favor from us. He's letting us do our own thing, since that's what we seem to want. I'm just curious if the prodigal son will return home after wasting his inheritance.

Best estimates say there are over 60 million gun owners in the US. If all stood firm there is no way they can send enough troops to take them away. Sure lots of folks will die on both sides but numbers are on the side of gun owners and if you stand on principle and are willing to die for it you can bet that those folks being paid to do it who aren't doing it on principle will blink first.

What will happen tho once they are outlawed is they will give you several deadlines to turn them in and probably as in Australian most will. BUT not all will. Then they will begin the assualt on those who didn't. They'll pull in all the yellow sheets from dealers, put together a database and compare it to what was turned in. That will let them know where to begin their attack and you better betcha it WILL BE AN ATTACK and all out assualt when they come. They will not be playing and those who would resisit must not play either.

That it will happen is a given the only question is the specifics of when and how.

I have read post after post on GB about the opposition to any form of gun control. Most people are fast to express their opinion here but have you made your wishes and beliefs known to you legislators? Since it is so easy to send an e-mail or make a phone call to your Congressman or Senator you should “Keep in touch” often. and on every issue that concerns you.

If we, the gun owners, or supporters of the second amendment do not stay in touch. the elected officials will begin to believe that it doesn’t concern us. Don’t stop with a post on GB, write a letter or make a phone call to someone who counts.

If we give an inch they will take a mile……..remember the story about the squeaking wheel?

Doesnt work like that round here. I cant rember the thread but i sent a e-mail to my senator(OH) and some guy in GA sent his the same e-mail. We got the excat same e-mail back from our senators. When you try to call them good luck. Only way they care what you have to say is if you have money to donate.

Don't forget that support for gun control is what cost Bill Clinton's

2000... and John Kerry the presidency in 2004.

Lamenting this fact at a Rose Garden ceremony, President Clinton stated on
April 27, 1999, "There are some people [Democrats] who would be on this
platform today who lost their seats in 1994 because they voted for the
Brady Bill and they voted for the assault weapons ban."

I will not forget what you did, and I will make sure that other people I
know don't forget this either.

Plus, I will wholeheartedly support Gun Owners of America's efforts to

The fact that it's verbatim isn't necessarily bad - most Senator's receive too much mail for them (or their staff) to respond to each one individually. So they copy/paste a blanket response. That is merely a matter of necessity and not really a problem. Somebody though, probably not the Senator himself, but someone on his staff, is at least going to read each message to gauge public opinion.

What IS a problem, is what exactly the form response does (or does not say). With yours, if you read between the lines it's obvious that his position is that he supported Eric Holder and doesn't really care what you think. That alone should serve to form your opinion of your rep.

This sounds about right, some idiot will do a mass shooting and draw media attention. They'll have to do something big about it because Obama is losing favor fast and will need something to shore up "public" opinion. Whether that would do it or not is yet to be seen.

i don't think that a mass "turn in" of guns will do as well in the United States as it did in Austrailia. Austrailia has too much "Britian" in their policies.

Americans are a much different breed. We're peaceful as long as everything seems to be going ok and we get left alone to our own devices. We rejected British policy and rule.

So let them come for our guns. I'll be clinging to them when they show up, and when I run out of ammo, I'll throw my Bible at them....

Confiscation has already happened in this country. Look at places like Morton Grove IL. This is an example of direct confiscation. Then there is the covert confiscation that has been going on for years. Examples of this are the AWB, 10 shot clip limit in CA, Drop Testing requirements in some states and other similar type of restrictions that are ultimately designed to reduce gun ownership and or distribution.

You don't swallow an elephant all at once. It takes one bite at a time.

I'm new here and I will say the Constitution says that the right to bear arms is a unalienable right. It does not say inalienable right.
An unalienable right means that it is God given and cannot be taken away.
The constitution did not give us this right. God did. All the constitution did was affirm the fact that the right was God given. Many states refused to sign and agree with the principles of the constitution unless it affirmed that it was a God given right. So that said. If they attempt to subvert the intent of the 2nd amendment to the constitution, It is they who are breaking the law. Not us.

a lot of you guys including myself sign up for the armed forces in doing so we agreed to fight and die it necessary for this great country. now it seems we will have to do the same thing only this time on our soil against our own. its sad but i cant see me giving up my firearms and be a slave to anyone or any government
