Marlin Gun Service?
« on: March 02, 2009, 03:42:11 PM »
I called Marlin's 800 number literally 25 diffrent times throughout the day today and it was busy every time.  I called their switchboard and they just transferred me to the 800 number and I hung up after being on hold for 15 minutes.  Anyone else have the same problem trying to get through?

1 800 544 8892, is this the number you're calling?

Yes I am sure of the number.  I finally got through today after fifty plus tries over three days.  When I commented to the lady how long I had been trying to get in touch with someone, she said she actually did not mean to answer my call as she had already logged out of her computer so she trasnferred me to someone else who took my order.  I suppose I should have jsut ordered the part online as it was not any cheaper through them which was my whole point of calling them.  I am paying just under $12 for the rear leaf for my 1895G.

You can get Marlin parts from Brownells.  I called, no waiting, made my order, got here in 2 days.  Excellent service.

You don't even need to call Brownell's, they have a factory gun parts listing for lots of makes.  ;)

I called only to get my payment coming out of the right account.  I use to pay via a credit card that I paid off.  That is what they had on my record, had to change it.  However, their service in getting things out is fast.  Marlin might be the same way on line.  Got Ruger parts that way too.

The only reason I wanted to try Marlin is the part I wanted to order was only approx. $5 through Midway USA but they had an extra charge for being under $25 and with shipping it was going to be just under $12.  That is what it ended up costing me through Marlin after all.   Just for the rear folding leaf!

There are lots more happy with Marlin service than unhappy.  If you let an internet growl stop you from getting what you want you will never get anything.

I called the other day with a question about a rebate and got right through. I was only on hold for a few minutes before someone came on the line to help me.
