Indoor Handgun ranges in Ohio
« on: March 03, 2009, 01:57:02 AM »
Ok guys I'd like to compile a list of indoor ranges in Ohio and their address, web site address etc. and also you thoughts. Also want to know if they are heated and AC, distance, number of postions etc.
My wife and I have used the one at the Fin in Ashland the last 5 weekends and it's a nice range.
Thanks,

Turk

Clelands Outdoor World, located between Toledo and Swanton.
Remember the Thompson Center Cleland??? it was named for the son of this store.
I have purchased a handgun at a shot just north of Columbus and then West off 23, they had range indoors but I don't remember the name.

A range on Walbridge road east of Toledo, I think it's called the barn. They let me shoot my .454 Bull gun inside, Clelands wouldn't. Try this www.ohcc.us. Walbridge rd. range is called the Bullet Stop.
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

Vandalia Range and Armory has a 100 yrds. under ground range and will let you shoot elephant guns in there. Plus their handgun ranges, all inside.

Here's a list of the indoor, plus one outdoor only range in central Ohio (nearby Columbus):

www.nasr.com
www.blackwingsc.com
www.powderrm.com
www.ovoutdoors.com
www.bigdarbycreeksr.com  (outdoor only)

All are quality facilities, except the Powder Room in Powell.  I never returned due to the poor lighting and ventilation...dirty IMO.  Gun prices aren't cheap either.

I hope this helps.
