You name me one program that government has total control over that works the way it is supposed to, and don't say taxes because there is more crooked dealings going on in that program then all the rest!

Defense, albeit inefficently. Of course that's what they're supposed to do. Everything else in my experience has been breathtakingly inefficient, almost always multiply redundant, and often unnecessary.

Yep... even with what is in many cases old and nearly obsolete equipment we can still kill folks with surprising efficiency. Nobody else is better at it in fact... Now if we could just figure out a decent procurement process so that it wouldn't take over a decade to even get a contract on a new plane...

I agree. But if you took all the money in the US. and split it evenly amongts every one the rich would have that money back in less than a year. Because they know how to take it from people and the poor dont know how to keep it.
