Bought my first today
« on: March 04, 2009, 04:21:20 PM »
I bought two Handi Rifles last week.  A 45-70 and a .243.  So today I bought a NEF 12 guage with a 32 inch barrel for $69.  Coming home I stopped by another pawn shop who has a NEF 20 guage for $59.  Should I ?  I have yet to shoot the rifles.  Heck I haven't shot a shotgun in years but these are addictive to me....

Go for it.  You won't go wrong with a 20, especially at that price.  Good quality, good price, simple, easy to clean, fun to shoot.  What more could you want?

Buy the 20.
After you shoot the 12 a few times you'll be looking for the 20
The 12's kick like heck :o

The 20's shoot slugs pretty good too.

OK so I picked it up.  26 " Mod choke.  Can you shoot slugs out of a Mod choke?  This is # 4 in a week.  I'm getting bad.

 I agree!!

mccleese,
Where are you located. Here in Connecticut, the cheapest H&R's are always $99.99 and up. A 99$ one is one step up from a basket case!!!

I'm in Mississippi.  I'm in a sales job so I travel the state a lot.  The 20 guage was at $79 and they just lowered it to $59 this week the owner told me.  I bought a like new Remington 870 there last Nov for $175.  I hit a lot of pawn shops all over the state.  Lots of places have them for more but I like to find deals.  Picked up an unconverted Ruger Blackhawk in 95% shape for $300 OTD in Dec at a different shop.  And my best deal lately a Ruger MK1 for $110 otd.
