44 automag ammo
« on: March 05, 2009, 07:08:01 AM »
I have a 44 automag, and while I got this gun I received several boxes of unused CDM (mexico) ammo.  Does this have a value?  I will not shoot it in this gun anyway, just wondering. Thanks

Not sure on the collector value of the ammo, but if you need we do make the 44AM

I think original brass was trimmed from .308?

You are correct, anything in the 308 family cut down to length will work.  Starline makes brass for it now also.  This is old ammo orignially manufactured by a remington subsidiary in mexico.  I am just curious if it has collector value.  There was only two brands manufactured and neither was in the usa.  I'm sorry if this isn't the best place to ask this I just don't know where else.

I don't see any collector value in it unless your a Auto Mag shooter and need some brass? Reliabilty(quality) varied from manufacturer to manufacturer for the guns.

Leather5to1:  There you have it.  The Swenson Bobcat has given you the heads up.  You stuff has some noticeable value, especially to Auto Mag shooters.  I would not sell it cheap.  Mikey.

That is great news, thank you for your input.  Now I wonder if I can find a place to sell it in eastern pa.
