Customer Service
« on: March 05, 2009, 01:08:23 PM »
I received a new model 97 last week, loaded some smmo for it, and took it out to the farm to shoot it this week.  To make a long story short, I had a problem with the gun and ended up breaking the extractor rod.  Had my dealer call Freedom today to set up a return to have the gun repaired.  Bob Baker came on the line to find out what had broken and offered to send the replacment part for free.  He then asked how it broke and I told him I had rapped it against the trailer hitch a couple of times!  Now there is silence on his end of the line.  I explained that it was my fault and would gladly pay for the repair.  Being the gentlemen that he is and the company that Freedom is, he said no, no, I'll send you the parts.  Now that is customer service and is exactly why most of us buy Freedom Arms revolvers.
(Oh, he did ask that I not hit it against the hitch any more.)

If you are going to use that new FA as a hammer, please let me trade you my 3 pound sledge for it.  The sledge will do a much better job of banging up your trailer hitch.   ::)

The proper type of Taurus, Rossi or Heritage may be substituted for the 3 lb. sledge.  ;D ;D

Now there is silence on his end of the line.

Now ya see....here is an instance where if you were able to "read the thoughts" of another person at a given point in time, it would be like a double edge sword. You'd probably get upset if you really knew what he was thinking.....but then, your dealer who was listening to the call....he would understand completely.
