45 Colt Speer Data
« on: March 07, 2009, 04:57:57 AM »
Does anyone know why Speer did the data work-up for the 300 gr UCSP on a crusher system and the lighter bullets on a Piezo Transducer system?
They say the pressure is higher for the 300 gr bullet.  But the loads for the 260 gr HSP seem awfully low for the bullet weight.  20.0 gr H110 for the 260 vs 23.5 H110 for the 300 gr.

I know I should e-mail Speer but I thought someone may know before I take that route and does the person responding to the e-mail really know or are they a secretary to the person that does know and are just catching up on e-mails?

No clue. I use the Hodgdon web site for load data myself.
