Ok, here's the question. I know everyone is gearing up for hunting season, but it is also time to start tying up some more flies for next year. So here is the question: What are you finding yourselves in need of the most. I'm finding that the flies that I am short on are the ones that I've used the most (well, duh! ). Also I'm looking to hear what they are by category-trout, dry and wet; panfish; bass and any others I'm missing. I think it might help us all to see what is working for different people in different areas of the country. It might get us looking at flies we might not have considered before.
Here's my start:
trout, dry--elk hair caddis and a couple of misc terrestrials
trout, wet--wet royal coachmen, pheasant tail, bitch creek, montana stone
panfish--poppers, wooly worms, wooly buggers, ants
bass--didn't go this year
