Does anyone make an AK or clone that shoots 5.56 AND uses an M16 magazine...

Arsenal, Inc makes AK style rifles in 7.62x39, 5.56x45, and 5.45x39.5.  I do not know what type of magazine they take.  I would assume they all take an AK type clip as well.

Magnum research made an adapter for using AR mags on a Galil AK.

And theres an outfit called cobrascustom that makes AR adapters for the 223 Saiga AK

I guess what I'm actually looking for is a design that is more like the AK than the M16.  Simple, easier to use, cheap to produce, little need for a trained armourer to support AND it would be able to use 5.56 ammo and share mags with M16.  Probably a tall order...  I'll check out some more websites.

I used to have a Romainian AK that was chambered for .223, but it did not take AR magazines.  It took AK type mags, that were hard to find.  On top of that, it was not reliable, and had feeding problems with the 5 and 30 round mags I was able to find.  This rifles 7.62 twin proved 100 reliable with any mag, any ammo.  Guess wich one I kept?
