.dwg Parrott Carriage
« on: March 11, 2009, 02:41:44 PM »
Hey there guys,

I just joined the forum and I can't tell you how much I've learned from browsing through all the topics that have been discussed here! Anyone even thinking about buying/making a cannon NEEDS to spend some time on this forum...

But ANYHOW...  ::)

I currently ordered a custom 1/2 scale parrott rifle from Dominick Carpenter (found through the forum) and am going to build the carriage for it... I guess I'm shooting for the #1 field cannon carriage. I see plenty of sites on the forum for hard paper copies of the plans, but I was wondering if anyone had an electronic copy in a .dwg format, or any other electronic format for that matter...

Any help would be appreciated!     :)

WELCOME to ya DoctorD.  Although I have no such carriage or cannon plans I'm sure someone will jump in here and certainly be able to help you out.  Good luck!

Thanks for the info, and I already have them on order  :)  I was just wondering if someone already had them drawn up in an electronic format so I could save myself some time. (Not to mention it would probably be in more detail than I could put into it).

The drawings produced by Antique Ordnance Publishers are from the original drawings with written descriptions.  The written information that goes with the drawings is informative and helpful.
