PETA is trying to BAN Youth Hunting in PA
« on: March 12, 2009, 11:53:50 AM »
On February 24, 2009 PETA sent a letter to Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell urging him to support legislation making it illegal for those under 18 to hunt.

Seems that PETA exploited a local murder in order to advance its anti-hunting agenda.    They never give up do they.

Like I said it will never in my life time pass here in Pa. This is a huge hunting state. Most schools are off the first 2 days of deer season. It is like a holiday here. Dale

I lived in PA from 1997 to 2005 and PA is big gun & hunting state. One of the best for gun owners in the country. I can't comprehend Gov Rendell would even think about it. Even if he is a pig at the troft. He knows the people will make him pay at the next election.

Your not kidding it's a big hunting state. Work pretty much shut down for the opener of deer season. It's estiamted that there are 1.5 million hunters in the woods on deer opener in PA.

The first time I went in the PA woods for deer opener was in 1997. At first light it sounded like a war going on off in the distance in all directions. Not kidding.

I'm waiting for the day that PETA sends such a letter to Texas. Just like i'm waiting for the day that the second amendment is officially brought up for revision. The entire United States will erupt in a maelstrom of hellfire and brimstone. I think reading posts like these are bad for my health. I mean for the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would want to disrupt my right to own firearms. It's not like i've (or anyone on this forum) ever disrupted their way of life. I just can't fathom what I would do with my time without my guns. It seriously makes me concerned to the point that I want to pistol whip a PETA board member in the face. Not kill them. No, no. I'm not that guy. I just want them to remember who did it. I mean just this morning I got in a heated conversation with a couple coworkers on why I should have the right to own and use firearms. It lasted for 45 mins and I think it took 5 years off my lifespan for the increase in bloodpressure I had. I wish I could just move away from all this.

Malicious Intent...

"Cool it", ol' buddy.  These A-holes "win" when they upset YOU... and you "lose" when you allow them to "get to" you.  It's best to just figure "stupid is as stupid does" and walk away.

Don't let them make YOUR blood "boil"... 'cause I want you to be around to spit on their graves... and that won't happen if you let 'em mess with your head with mere WORDS!

PETA won't get far in Pennsylvania with any attempts to ban hunting for ANYONE.  If a Pennsylvania politician did something like banning anyone from hunting deer, they'd have a REVOLUTION in Pennsylvania!!!

Pennsylvanians have a strong hunting heritage and while there's a few big cities in PA., there's literally hundreds or even THOUSANDS of small or tiny towns in rural settings... and the majority of the men in those towns are HUNTERS !!!

Strength & Honor...

I often find myself walking away from conversations like this but it just gets to a point when you internalize soo much that you just can't stand not saying anything any longer. The horrible thing is that I work in the US armed forces and these guys are saying we should get rid of all guns. I agree. Lets allow Iran and NK roll over our @$$es and while were at it lets just give them the keys to the Whitehouse while were at it. How else can a government fear the power of the people when the people themselves can't even defend themselves. The power lies in the people and with the elimination of firearms this statement will will be revised to say "The power lies in the powerless". Marshall law will reign supreme and Capitol Hill will be free to do as they please. I have come to refer to it as "The systematic disarmarment of the worlds proudest nation".
