I had a heart attack a little over 11 years ago. Cholestrol was 504 and triglycerides were off the scale and unreadable. I had the angioplasty and a stent implanted. After a month of heavy duty meds, including 3 shots in the stomach a day for 10 days, the cholestrol was 403 and the triglycerides were 2334. I now have it down to 102 and 195. I had to wear the monitor a couple times, no big deal. Then is September of '08 I found out I'm diabetic.
Seems like I can't win for losing. I now have it under control and have lost 45 pounds as a result.
I'm telling you all this to prove a point. You can beat this Bill! It just takes a lot of dedication. I have tried really hard to follow everything they have told me to do. You'll make it alright, I've got faith in you.
Cabin4, the angioplasty is a cake walk. The only bad part is when they release the dye. For a few seconds you feel really flushed and you have to fight the urge to puke. I actually fell asleep toward the end of it.
