The barrel is floated to a point...there is a support that the barrel rests on + -3in from the action...from that point to the end its floated. There are no metal pillars in the stock but the way the poly is molded.. there are solid colums of poly where the screws go into the action. This stock is fit very well. These T3's are well thought out for the price i'll try to post some pics when i get back from the range tomorrow.

drags,
Pillars & bedding are always an improvement...  i don't think its nessesary but i could be wrong. I've had the action in & out of the stock several times  with no change in POI so thats proof that it is already doing what P & B would do. I shot this target with Win super-X 100gr pp @ 100yds this group is goodnuff to hunt with but i'm still lookin for the load  she likes.

I have 3 of these suckers and they just plain shoot. I know others who have them and same story. I really don't think they need any bedding or pillars, my opinion based on how they shoot. All of mine are synthetic and hold up well, even with a bipod. Best way to increase accuracy is to handload IMHO.

Which caliber? I am guessing that you are talking about the 243 as you just got one. I use 43gr of AA4350 with a COAL of 2.66", that is fired up with a Rem 9 1/2 primer.
