Since you are reloading anyway, look into the RCBS die that makes 30-06, 270, 25-06 brass into 8x57. I am always able to pick up lots of 270 brass around the public ranges, especially around deer season, or just before. I use .270 brass because I don't own a rifle in that caliber. Anyway, it is as easy as lubing the case and running it through the die. The excess case comes through the top of the die. Cut it off with a hacksaw, then file it flush with the top of the die. I turn off what burrs are left, and chamfer the case mouth. Works great!
