On Monday 3/16/09, purchasers of fired military brass were notified by email, of new government regulations concerning the purchasing
of surplus brass! Below is a copy of the email from Government Liquidations.

"Effective immediately DOD Surplus, LLC, will be implementing new requirements for mutilation of fired shell casings. The new DMRS
requirement calls for DOD Surplus personnel to witness the mutilation of the property and sign the Certificate of Destruction. Mutilation
of the property can be done at the DRMO, if permitted by the Government, or it may be mutilated at a site chosen by the buyer.
Mutilation means the property will be destroyed to the extent to prevent its reuse or reconstruction. DOD personnel will determine when
property has been sufficiently mutilated to meet the requirements of the " Government"!

This is a huge waste of taxpayer's money! The value of these products is reduced by 80% by going from a recycled usable product to
a scrap poduct! This will include "ALL" fired brass, ( .223, .308, 9mm, .50 bmg )that has been sold to suppliers to the civilian market, as
remanufactured ammo or as once fired brass to those of us who reload!
You can read this on Top Brass website, Georgia Arms website, and several more. This is like the destruction ( DE-MILLING ) of the
M1 Garands, during the Clinton administration, turning a valuable usable product to cheap scrap, to keep them out of civilian hands!

With ammo prices and availability to the public, being as bad as it is, this will make things much worse!

Pass the word, call or write your elected representatives, and demand this be stopped!

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
