445 Super Mag

Picked up a Monson, MA manufactured 445 Supermag the other day and took it to the range. Revolver shoots accurately but the cylinder bolt drops during firing allowing the cylinder to rotate, it does not unlatch from the frame. Is this common? Will a stronger spring fix this? Where can I find a book on Wessons?

I have a 445 and do not have the problem you mention.  I think it is definitely not normal.  Contact Mike at the following email address.  He is a Dan Wesson dealer who has parts if you need them and he is very knowledgable about Dan Wessons.
