Warranty Question
« on: March 19, 2009, 11:35:20 PM »
I was reading warranty info on the EAA Windicator last night.  It says that the warranty is voided by shooting reloads/non-factory ammo.  Is this a disclaimer that is written into most warranties or is this peculiar to only certain manufacturers??

You will probably find that written into most warranties.  I believe Glock also uses the same language.  This is a liability safeguard for gun makers and lets them off the hook if you blow up one of their guns and/or yourself using handloads.  However, you did notice the langauge read 'reloads/non-factory ammo'?  Here reloads do not include those commercially made yet it is those reloads that are the ones most often found responsible for handgun failures and accidents, as I understand.

That is what I thought.  Just wanted to clarify it.  I just got a bid concerned when I read it in the warranty for a NEW EAA Windicator.  I had heard someone say that they had a problem with those.  Must have been the alloy models.  Thanks, Mikey
