Opinions On Land Prides UTV????
« on: March 20, 2009, 03:33:14 AM »
My tractor dealer friend got one in about a year ago to sell, and it's not selling....  His area is saturated with UTV's, and he's in an "out of the way" place to try and sell them...  He's been using it some around his yard, so it has a few miles on it but not many...  It looks as new...

Anyway, it's Honda powered, 4wd but NO low range...  He's going to let the company take it back, or i can buy it at his cost...  I think he said his cost was about 8K with what options it has...

Anyone have or used one of these???

You can get a lot of UTV for $8k.  Heck you could possibly get a slightly used Kubuta RTV900 which is a real work horse.

No offence Doug, but the more i read about those Kubota's RTV's the less i like them...  To me they seem too expensive to "own", with having to use Kubota oil's, filters  ect...  The hystat oil should be changed "often" and if you work it, you need to use there synthetic oil...  And i'm reading of a lot of complaints about them running out of power on hills when loaded...  Complaints about the intregrated throttle/hystat to the foot pedal...

I'm afraid i wouldn't be happy with the performance with it when it's loaded heavy...

For much less money consider the little Kawasaki Mule 610, or for a little more the Yamaha Rhino 450.  Both are better machines than the Land Pride.

A Man's got to know his limitations.  If you know the performace envelope of the RTV900 you can easily get it to out perform the Mule or other UTV's.

May gosh man this is a work horse not a a play toy.... :o :o :o :o :o :o
