Off-Topic... Spring has sprung?
« on: March 22, 2009, 09:15:56 PM »
So I could remember to empathize with some of you guys who speak of that white stuff you have, I bundled up my Wife and Son and left our place at 100' above sea level. It was 65 degrees when we took off at 1:00 PM today.

90 minutes later and 7800' higher, thermometer said 15 degrees...

It was snowing and windy. Yup, you guys are right; snow is cold. I couldn't feel my lips  :o

Anyway, greetings from sunny Southern CA...

That was from Saturday night's storm.  Most of the snow from earlier in the winter had already melted.  At least I heard about the rain in time to plastic wrap the piano I have on an open trailer.   ;D

Yup. Seems they didn't allocate funds for weather modification in our $16,000,000,000 of new "state revenue loophole closures." ::)

 I'm appalled...

Frosty morning here in Maine last year.  Apparently this year global warming has balanced things out a bit.  Must be all of the C02 emissions drifting east from the western cannon shoots. ;D

Spring has sprung here but I have Azaleas and Dogwoods blooming in my yard instead of snow.
