Budweiser a class act.
« on: March 26, 2009, 03:57:18 AM »
I received this video in a email this morning and just wanted to share it with you guys. Here is what the emal says. Dale

This is a class act.  A moving must see!!!!! Notice the World Trade buildings are gone.

This is the commercial spot Budweiser produced after 9-11.

They only aired it once so as not to benefit financially
from it - they just wanted to acknowledge the tragic event. This is so
Consistent with a company who always does things with a ton of class!!

This is not the way the troops returning from Viet Nam were received.  I remember SF International Airport and a reception group of approximately 1500 dope smoking hippies.  They provided a good welcome home, rocks, eggs, poop bombs and such.

I am glad to see the American people precive the troops in a different light.

Thanks. I have to admit both bring a tear to my eye. Although I am a little surprised there has not been much response to this thread. I think many people forget what happen that day that changed this great country forever. I know I will never forget and get pissed every time I see those planes flying into those buildings. Dale

Powderman. I know you are on dial up and these video's are hard to watch for you. I was on dial up a few weeks back when I made a switch but if you take time you can view these videos. I think it is important for any real American to watch them. Dale

The first one brought a tear to the eye of this old man.  The second one made me feel good as well.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

AB has been bought out by InBev, and is NOT the same company.  They're shutting down a lot of the teams sponsorships and charity activities, as well as putting a couple thousand people out of work.

I've lived in Budweiser country all my life, but I've never been much of a fan of their beer and only drank it occasionally.  Now I make it a point to order something else.

I pointed this out above... but it didn't seem to sink in...

The Busch family used to donate a bunch of money to wetland restoration too... They're influence will be missed...
