Good morning all !

Just came in from shoveling off the  driveway . It's 54 on the sunny side of house , 18 on the north .
clear skies and beautiful day in the making . (no wind yet)
Jack the Wonder Airedale wants to go hunting , Perhaps by noon it will be a good time to go have a look see for gophers in the snow.  The 17 leaves a nice red marking in the snow as proof positive the quary was had.

Later ....

Be that as it may, I've got to take my bike to the dealership when I get home from work.  I hate riding in the rain!   :(

Well thought I would stop in and say Hi to you all.  I went down and finished up my second week, for shooting my score for the Whitetail World 300.  The contest had 4 teams of 4, and my score last week was 259 with 12 X's and this week was 277 with 16 X's.  We were shooting 5 spot indoor targets, of 12 rounds shot with a max total of each 12 rounds to be 300 points, shot at 20 yards.

I figure with my shoulder and recovering, that I really did not do that bad being up against guy's with no handicap.

Now this indoor range that I go to, also has http://www.technohunt.com which brings indoor archery practice to a whole new level.

Started with rain yesterday and turned to snow.  Got 3 1/2" they said on the news this mornin, and was solid ice on the roads.  It got up to 32 and the roads cleared off good, but supposed to get down to 16 tonight and then 40's Friday and mid-50's Sat.  Gun show in town this weekend so I have that trip planned. Careful on the drive to Kalispell, don't need nothin buggering up the knee or the truck!  Jon, I couldn't hit the inside of a barn if I was locked in it with a bow, good shootin.  (Arrowing?) ???  Lord knows we need the moisture, I just wish it was a little warmer so it would soak in and not just run off.  We do need more snow-pack in the mountains.  Sure would like to see the lakes get back up to normal level again.  DP

Nice shooting Montanan!

Pab1 can you imagine my reaction to hitting the 4 ring (dark) and then 4 X's.  I spend 99% of my free time practicing with my bow now.  I am not a ternament shooter so I really don't really shoot these all the time.  But using the 5 spot targets, really helps in keeping your arrows damage free.  When you group your arrows you run a very high risk of doing what is called "Robin Hooding" as you can see in the attached photo.  In the 2nd attached picture I was very lucky here, that I did not "Robin Hood" these arrow shafts at 20 yards.

I actually view each spot as the kill zone of a Deer, and the larger single spot (same as attached picture) the kill zone of an Elk.

Yep, but it will have to wait until I settle out my PPD.  Instead of taking the bi-monthly payments over 375 weeks, I think I'm going to request to settle it out to take care of some things that built up over my down time.
